The Mena Basscats had three teams compete in The Bass Federation (TBF) Arkansas State High School Championship on Lake Ouachita last Saturday. The top 5 teams qualified to compete in the National Championship to be held on Lake Pickwick in Alabama June 19-23. The Basscats captured 2 of the 5 coveted spots! Austin Johnston and Cason Canon took 4th place with 12lbs and 2ounces.
Austin Rose and Evan Graves took 5th place with 12lbs. Rose and Graves also had the “Big Bass” with a 4lbs and 14ounce Bass.
Jarret Burger and Brendon Caitlet also competed well in the tournament bringing to the scales a five fish limit.
