Louise Durham Elementary teachers were recognized with the Bessie B. Moore Award for their Mini Marketers project, honoring their commitment to bringing economics and personal finance education into the classroom.

The recognized teachers are Tracy Floyd, Jennifer Philpot, Lindsey Sawyer, Sarah Bentley, RebaFaye McLellan, and Brianne Burford.

The Bessie B. Moore Awards Program recognizes Arkansas teachers who go above and beyond classroom requirements by developing outstanding economic and personal finance projects and integrating them into instruction throughout the school year.

The Mini Marketers project earned recognition for the teachers’ creative approach to connecting classroom learning with economic and personal finance concepts.
