Thursday was pizza and movie day for junior high and 7th grade Mena football!

The Mena High School Cheer team baked cookies to show their support to the Ladycat Volleyball team and coaches on Thursday! The Ladycats have their first home game on August 24th at the Union Bank Center! Go Ladycats!

Thursday was day two of preseason dress up practice for Jr. High volleyball. Players were encouraged to dress in western wear.

Football teams from Hackett, Mt. Ida, Horatio, Mansfield & Berryville joined Mena at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium for a team camp on Wednesday. The Bearcats scrimmage Mansfield on August 15th and the season opener is August 25th against DeQueen at BCBS.

Teams from Hackett, Mansfield, Mt. Ida, Fountain Lake & Cossatot River participated in the Mena Jr. High Team Football Camp at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium on Thursday. The Jr. Bearcats will play a scrimmage at Mansfield on August 15th and the season opener is August 31st against Centerpoint at BCBS. Mena Football Head Coach Craig Bentley represented the Bearcats at the “ Tip the Tank” fundraiser for Arkansas Children's Hospital at Walmart this weekend!

Congratulation to MADI LYLE on her performance in the Arkansas High School Coaches Association All Star Volleyball Game. The game was played in the Farris Center at the University of Central Arkansas.

The Mena Public Schools would like to welcome new staff for 2023/2024. Including ROBERT SWEERE at Mena Middle School. The first day of the new school year is Wednesday, August 16th.

The JR Ladycats have competed at the Morrilton Basketball Teamcamp Monday and Tuesday. They have improved tremendously over the past two weeks at their team camps.
