
Kensey Rosson, Jaxon Baber, Craig Bentley, and Kiylee Hughes represented Mena at the 2024 AHSCA All-Star Games!


District Maintenance Supervisor Danny Minton spoke at the Mena School Board meeting earlier this week about progress on the Hensley Activity Center. Minton said crews are about five weeks behind schedule due to weather. Petree Construction has three crews working six days a week on the project to get back on track.


Day one of the Little Cats Basketball Camp in the Union Bank Center. The camp continues on Thursday and Friday.

The Jr Ladycats went 2-2 today at the Morrilton Team Camp with wins over Quitman and Mayflower. Losing two close ones to Beebe and Alma. The Jr Ladycats finished with a 12-4 record this summer. We are looking forward to the season. Now they get a much deserved break.


The Jr. Ladycats are participating in the Morrilton Team Camp. The team came away with wins against Lincoln, Rogers and Sheridan on Monday.
The girls are back at Morrilton Tuesday.


Let's welcome Dusty Gardner tp the staff at Mena High School. Mr. Gardner is the new Sr. Girls Basketball Coach.


The Mena Jr. High Team Camp was held on Thursday at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium. Teams from DeQueen, Mansfield & Cossatot participated.


These JR Ladycats need to be bragged on. JR High Varsity went 7 and 2 at the Harding University Team Camp, and their 2 losses were to Lake Hamilton by 11 and a Senior High varsity team by 3. Our JR High JV was a totally different team from day 1 to day 3. There were tons of improvement, and ended with a win over Lakeside.


Mena Bearcat Jair Hernandez got to work with Arkansas SPT Coordinator Scott Fountain at camp! Great experience for one of the best kickers in the state! Big thanks to Coach Fountain for giving him the chance to come down and get some one on one instruction!


Wrapping up day 5 of 7 of team camps this week! Our Senior boys teams started at Harding University for 3 days then drove straight to Southeastern Oklahoma State for 2 days! Tomorrow they will go to Fayetteville for the Northwest Arkansas Shootout for 2 more days! Our Junior boys teams went to Harding for 3 days as well and just wrapped up the Northwest Arkansas Shootout! Great week of camps for our athletes! #Menabasketball


Welcome Logan McCourtney to the Mena Public Schools staff. Mr. McCourtney will be the Jr. High Boys basketball coach!


The Mena High School Varsity Cheer Team completed a 3 day camp with the National Cheer Association last week. The team earned Superior ranking. Many girls were nominated for All American with Bailey Heald and Destiny Hogan officially being chosen for All American !

Mena Jr. High Cheer has completed their summer camp. The girls showed tremendous growth and learned many new skills. We are excited for what the 24-25 season has in store for us.

Camp continues from 5:15pm-6:15pm on Thursday and Friday in the UBC. Everyone age 7-14 years old are invited. The cost is $10.00 per session.


Mena hosted the Bearcat 7 on 7 Tournament on Tuesday. Teams from Pocola OK., Lavaca, Hackett, Arkadelphia, DeQueen, Mansfield and Bismark participated.

The Mena Bearcats played their spring football game on Thursday at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium.
The 2024 season begins on Friday, August 30th at DeQueen.

At the Arkansas Heptathlon Elliott Dugan of Mena finished 26th as a sophomore and 3rd overall in the state for high jump. In the decathlon Elijah Smith of Mena finished 18th out of 75 as a junior!
Coach Rachel Dover and Randy Peters were selected as team leaders at the meet and coached girls from Cabot, Villonia, Dover, Siloam Springs, Lakeside, and Russleville!


Wednesday was the final day of the Little Cat Volleyball Camp!
