Michelle Finn, an educational consultant with Marzanos Research, will spend the day with Mena School District faculty on Thursday, August 12th. She will focus on The New Art and Science of Teaching. Student engagement and the district instructional model will be highlights of the day. Finn is the a coauthor of A Handbook for Personalized, Competency-Based Education. Hello, my name is Liberty Jacot and I am blessed to be teaching 4th grade ELA and Social Studies at Holly Harshman Elementary. I hold a Bachelor of Elementary Education and a Master of Education Leadership. I have 11 years experience in teaching and intervention in upper elementary. I am coming to Holly Harshman Elementary with 22 years experience from Wickes Elementary School. I’m looking forward to teaching fifth grade literacy again. I’m married and have three grown children, two daughters and one son. I enjoy reading, being home on the farm, and cooking.”

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Early Elementary Education K-6 from Southern Arkansas University in May 2020. I was born and raised right here in Mena! I am a HUGE family person and love anytime spent with them! I also enjoy being outdoors and watching movies.
