Polk County Sgt. Justin Wagner has been selected by Attorney General Tim Griffin to receive the “Dwayne Yarbrough Distinguished Service Award”. The Dwayne Yarbrough Distinguished Service Award honors the legacy of “Big D” Dwayne Yarbrough. It is awarded annually to recognize Officers throughout the State that have distinguished themselves through hard work, dedication, and service to their communities. This year, AG Tim Griffin selected two Arkansas Law Enforcement Officers to receive the award.
Sheriff Sawyer stated “ Sgt. Justin Wagner has been vital in the establishment of our SRO programs as well as our School Security Teams. He has helped create, train, and supervise these teams, not only at the Mena School District, but at all area schools. Often on his own time. Sgt. Wagner’s hard work, dedication, and commitment has made our school security teams better and our kids safer”.
Sgt. Wagner will be honored and receive their awards at a luncheon in Little Rock on December 12, 2024.
