There will be no classes at Mena Public Schools on Monday, February 15th.. This will be a virtual day for students. Holly Harshman Elementary is scheduling Parent/Teacher Conferences for 2/15 from 8:30am-8:30pm. See an earlier post for details. Mena High School will also be conducting CAP conferences for 8th-11th grade students on 2/15. CAP stands for Career Action Planning. The purpose is to assist students and parents in planning their schedule for 21/22.

Governor Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed the week of February 1-5, 2021 as National School Counselor Week in Arkansas to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school system and how students are different as a result of what they do. Linda Collins is one of the best & we are proud to have her at Louise Durham Elementary.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lee Smith took the lead by getting his Covid-19 Vaccination today. Dr. Smith will begin his new position as Superintendent of Mena Public Schools in the 2021/2022 school year.

UAMS is conducting a Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic for teachers & staff of Mena Public Schools today. Nurse Bobbi from Mena High School was the first to receive the vaccine.
