70 Mena Middle School and Mena High School FCCLA student leaders participated in a district wide service project on Wednesday. The service project called Cakes For Casa benefited Polk County Casa by providing birthday cake kits for children in foster care served by Casa. Mena earned the Service Award for the event for the most items donated! In addition Mena High School FCCLA officers gifted Ms. Mindy Lyle a $25 gift card to purchase classroom supplies as thanks for organizing todays community service event! A huge thank you to the Union Bank of Mena for providing lunch and to Mena Mayor Seth Smith for stopping by to check out what our amazing area leaders were up to today!

Project Lead The Way, Design and Modeling students took a field trip to Brodix Wednesday. Students had the opportunity to see how all the skills they have been learning are applied in real world local careers! Project Lead The Way is a set of courses that are new to Mena Middle School this year! Offering four courses in total. See You at the Pole is a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.
