We recommend Wednesday: Brantley, one of our 6th grade students, likes romance, but she also likes a little bit of sport related books. This book, Takedown, is her favorite. It includes wrestling and a little bit of a love hate relationship. Come check it out!

The Bearcats followed that by winning 63-18!

Ms. Kropp's theatre students performed "A Christmas Carol" for 7th Grade English Students on Tuesday.

National English Honor Society members delivered letters from Santa and postcards from the elves to the second grade students of Louise Durham Elementary on Monday.

The Mena Ladycats and Bearcats played on the final day of the Redwater Tournament on Saturday. Bearcats-57 Maud TX.-55 The Mena Ladycats defeated Genoa Central in the championship game. The Ladycats were 5-0 in the tournament and remain undefeated on the season. Both teams are back in action on Tuesday at Blevins.

Mena Middle School FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, Project Prevent and Yearbook students volunteered to ring the bell for the Salvation Army at Wal-Mart and Harps today.

Today, our CTE department had the privilege of hosting Rich Mountain Electric Cooperative on campus. John and Jennifer brought incredible energy as they shared what it takes to be part of the REA team. Their passion for serving our community—and their dedication to safety, teamwork, and professionalism—shined through every part of their presentation. They also reminded our students of something so important: your employability skills start now. Showing up, communicating well, taking initiative, and being willing to learn are all habits that open doors long before a job application is ever submitted. We are so grateful for John and Jennifer’s time and encouragement.
