Seniors have a mandatory meeting with Mr. Maxwell in the MHS cafeteria at 9 a.m. on Friday morning, May 14.
There will be a drive-thru on Tuesday, May 18 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon in the Bus Loop, to pay for your stoles and/or cords that you will receive at the Honors Assembly on May 19 at 9 a.m. in the PAC.
Exact change or check will be required.
Mena High School Juniors had an opportunity to receive information about furthering their education at the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain. UARM Recruiter Mike Godfrey & the Director of Admissions Wendy McDaniel spoke to the group in the MHS Performing Arts Center on Thursday morning.

Samantha Breedlove’s students at Mena Middle School are finding new & creative ways to learn. Today it was a Grammar Whodunnit. Students searched for clues and answered grammar related questions to find out who injured the contestant in a game show.
A big shout out is appropriate for some of the most important staff members at Mena Public Schools on National School Nurse Day!!!
They are critical to the health and well-being of our students. They have taken additional duties on during the past year due to the pandemic & done an outstanding job. Thank you all.

Congratulations to Madyson Birtcher, Leilani Day, Lauren Sikes, and Emily Wagner for passing the Praxis ParaPro Test recently at the University of Arkansas at Rich Mountain. Their scores qualified them to apply for and also receive the Certified Teaching Assistant Credential through the Arkansas Department of Education. This certification allows them to be qualified to work as a ParaProfessional at a public school or at a child or adult care center. The students are currently enrolled in the Methods of Teaching Class at Mena High School.

Mena High School students performed in the 2021 Lip Sync & Talent Show on Monday for their peers... It was an entertaining display of talent & creativity in the MHS Performing Arts Center... GO BEARCATS!!!
Austin Rose took 3rd place and Big Bass award on Greers Ferry on Saturday 5/8/21 in the Arkansas TBF Tournament.
Congratulations to to Austin and Jarrett Burger, both Juniors at MHS, for making the TBF of Arkansas Adult State Team and they will be representing the state of Arkansas in the TBF Semifinal.
We would like to give a shout out the Mr. Gary Callicott today !!!! Gary made a generous donation that included yearbooks from the mid 50's.. These additions filled some holes that we had in our collection at Mena High School.... Mr. Andy Philpot, yearbook sponsor, was thrilled to receive them..

Mena Middle School 8th Graders were guest of the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain on Monday. It was College & Career Day & the students were very attentive. They were greeted by UARM President Dr. Phillip Wilson. UARM staff were there to answer all questions as these students begin to think about their future.
Mrs, Todd's class had a busy week learning about life cycles and oviparous and viviparous animals. We even chose some oviparous animals we would like for pets.
