A five run 7th inning by the Bearcats tied the game but Mt. Ida scored the winning runs in the 8th. Mt. Ida - 11 Mena Bearcats - 9 Riley Gilbert got the start & went four innings on the bump & Luke Montgomery led Mena with three RBI's. Nashville was too much for the Mena Ladycats on Thursday at Union Bank Park. Nashville-17 Mena Ladycats-0 Mena begins play in the River City Rumble at Van Buren on Friday 4/2. They will play Bentonville West at 3:30pm. Games continue on Saturday as well.

The Arkansas High School Coaches Association is proud to announce the 2021 All-Star Football roster. From Mena, Bearcat Seniors Cauy House and Mason Brotherton were selected to the West team. Coach Craig Bentley was also chosen as an assistant coach for the West team.

A seventh inning rally by the Bearcats came up short in a 4-6 loss at DeQueen on Tuesday. Blake Brown & Riley Gilbert each threw three innings for Mena. Mena High School Student Council President SAM EFIRD dropped off StuCrew’s donation at Fresh Start Pregnancy Resource Center yesterday! StuCrew decided to keep all fundraisers in our local community this year and we are excited to give back to Polk County!

On Monday and Tuesday, April 5th & 6th, the ninth and tenth grade students at Mena High School will be taking ACT Aspire. If students are here for both days of testing, Wednesday will be a virtual day for those testers.

Doing both of these things will ensure that your child is working at full capacity. Remain positive Staying calm will help your child stay calm. If she gets nervous about the test or is likely to experience anxiety during the test, help her practice some relaxation techniques that she can try once she's taking the test.
