StuCrew and BFI are sponsoring a Spirit Door Competition! Each Enrichment class will decorate their door for Homecoming Week. Surprise judges will be brought in to judge them and the winner will be announced next Friday!
The FBLA Fall Conference date has been changed so registration is open again if you would like to attend. The new deadline is Oct 2nd! Cost is $15 to attend and receive an FBLA t-shirt
FCCLA dues are $15 and need to be paid by October 8. Bring your dues to Mrs. Hobson or Mrs. Wilson.
Be sure to order your Mena High School yearbook before this Friday, October 2 to take advantage of the lowest price of $50. If you personalize your yearbook before October 2 with your name on it for an additional $6, you will receive four free icons for the cover. See Mr. Philpot in room 205 to order with cash or check. Anyone interested in joining Sci-Fi Club this school year, there will be no dues this year, just sign up with Ms. Hooker to join! Even Blended students will have access to the Google Classroom.

The free Flu Shot Clinic will be on Thursday, October 15, here at Mena High School. Forms have been distributed, and they are due back by this Friday, October 2 for those who would like to receive a flu shot. If you still need a form, see Nurse Bobbi.

Thursday, October - Arkansas Air National Guard will be in the band room during enrichment for any senior and 1-4 periods in JAG classes.
TECH college representative will be rescheduled for a later time.
The University of Arkansas Fort Smith spoke to JAG students & interested Seniors at Mena High School on Monday. University reps are on campus throughout the school year helping students plan for the future.
Virtual, blended, or non-enrolled students have to sign up for meals every week. Meals may be picked up at Louise Durham Elementary or Mena High School on Fridays between 1 and 2pm. The form will need to be filled out by 2 pm Thursday for meal pick up on Friday. Follow the link to fill out the form for October 5th-9th.

MHS Flu Shot Clinic is coming up!!
Announcements for Tuesday, September 29 th
I. School pictures are happening now. We started with 6 th grade and will follow with 7 th , then
8 th . You will be told when it’s time for you to go. Remember, you do not have to purchase
pictures but everyone needs to have their photo taken for the yearbook and to have a
current photo on file. Do not take your backpacks with you. If you are ordering pictures
today, be sure to take your order form with you.
II. From Mrs. Sims: Starting next week, the 6 th grade Quiz Bowl team will have practice every
Monday and 7 th & 8 th grade Quiz Bowl teams will practice every Tuesday. Practices will
take place during ACHIEVE, in the Conference Room next to Mrs. Rose’s office. On those
days, report to your ACHIEVE teacher first. Once announcements have been read, you will
be dismissed for practice.
III. Reminders:
Flu shot forms are due this Thursday.
Immunizations are due this Thursday, or you must have an appointment made by this
Thursday.
After school tutoring is available. Check the fliers on the Library windows for more info.
