HUB Program Applications are available in Mrs. Buckley's office. If you are interested in the HUB program for 2020-2021, you are welcome to pick up an application in the office. Seniors, please complete the Mr. and Ms. Bearcat ballot on Google Classroom by the end of the day today. These results will also be part of the 2020 MHS Yearbook. JAG Work Applications (upcoming juniors and seniors) are available for next year's JAG Work class. You can pick up an application from Mrs. Purvis (room 403), counseling center, or online at karenpurvis.wixsite.com/mhsjag. Return applications to Mrs. Purvis or Mrs. Thacker or Enrichment teacher. Priority deadline is this Friday, February 21. If you did not order your 2020 Yearbook yet, this week will be your last chance to place an order before all final orders are submitted for printing on Friday. Yearbooks are $60, and can be ordered with cash or check. See Mr. Philpot in room 205 for more information or to place your last chance order. The Independent Living Class will have Hot Chocolate, Cappuccinos and Coffees for sale daily before school starts for $1.00 each. Stop by and see them in the hallway.

Announcements for Friday, February 21st Reminders: Lost and Found items will be emptied today. FBLA, FCCLA, Leadership students who are interested in going on the Magic Springs trip will meet in Mrs. Smith’s room right after these announcements. Quiz Bowl teams will have group photos taken on Monday. Bring your trophies and certificates The 8th grade group photo will be taken next Tuesday. One week from today is the deadline to order a yearbook and to register for Mena Youth League baseball & Softball. Students, if you have a class in the gym, you need to stay in the gym until the bell rings and do not roam around in the Cafeteria or halls. Once again, there were several footballs, basketballs, etc left outside yesterday after both lunches. The ball box will be locked during both lunches for a few days. Lunchtime Weather: We will be outside today. The James K. Polk Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution named Mena High School senior FAITH CHANEY their 2020 Good Citizen during a meeting at the Polk County Library Thursday night.. Regent Cortez Copher also announced that Chaney had claimed first place in Arkansas & will be honored at the DAR State Conference on Saturday, March 21st.
