
HHE Christmas Lunch Schedule!


Announcements for Monday, December 9th
8th grade ETS students will be meeting in the Cafeteria right after these announcements.
The Student Council will be meeting with Mr. Sherrer tomorrow during ACHIEVE.
The BADD Club will have a meeting this Friday in Mrs. Rose’s office.
There are only 2 weeks remaining in the semester. Remember that if your last day of school is going to be before December 20th, a parent must call either myself or Mr. Sherrer for approval, so that your absences will be excused.
We will have our MMS Christmas Dance next tomorrow evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The cost is $5, concession stand will be open. Make sure your parents know that the dance ends at 8:00 so that they will be here to pick you up. You may make song requests to Mrs. Rose. You must write down your name, the song title, and the name of the artist and have it turned in to Mrs. Rose by noon tomorrow.
The MMS bands, along with the High School Jazz Band and the MHS concert band will perform their annual Christmas concert this Thursday, 7:00 pm, at the PAC.
Reminder: Students who are teachers’ aides will have a group photo made tomorrow during ACHIEVE.

At this time, 8th grade ETS students need to go to the Conference room next to Mrs. Rose’s office and 6th grade GT students need to go to the Cafeteria.


The MHS Family and Consumer Science Department prepared and donated pies to the Charlie Company 1/153 Regiment Annual Christmas Party this past Saturday. We are thankful for their service!

The Mena Middle School Christmas Dance is Tuesday, December 10th from 6-8pm in the cafeteria.. See you there!!!


Time spent in the service of others is time well spent. Middle school Leadership student Gia spent her Saturday morning laying wreaths for Veterans at Pinecrest cemetery.


The Ladycats lost to Bergman today by a score of 32-47 & Bergman beat the Bearcats 63-27. Mena is back in action Tuesday when they host Lakeside at the Union Bank Center!


The Bucks Classic began at the Union Bank Center Friday. The Ladycats defeated Shiloh Christian 51-48 & the Bearcats lost 30-35. Games continue tomorrow beginning at 12:30pm. Both Mena teams will play Bergman beginning at 3:30pm...





The Mena 2nd Grade performed “An All American Christmas” Friday night in the Performing Arts Center. Enjoy a few scenes from the show!




Our menu's had Christmas Dinner on the wrong week The actual dates will be Louise Durham Elementary / Mena Middle School on Wednesday, December 11th. Holly Harshman Elementary / Mena High School on Thursday, December the 12th. Please share & spread the word!

Breezy Hendrix and Taylor Thacker competed earlier this week at the FCCLA District STAR Events at HSU. Sophia Vacca assisted with the events.


Mena High School Theatre II and III students performed skits on Romeo and Juliet and the life of Shakespeare for ninth grade English classes today!




MHS FCCLA President, Skylar Montgomery, volunteered with Kate Wilson recently and rang the bell for the Salvation Army.

STUDENTS: LEAVE YOUR BLANKETS AT HOME. WE HAVE PLENTY OF COATS IF YOU HAVE A NEED, JUST SEE MRS. THACKER. HOWEVER, DO NOT BRING BLANKETS TO SCHOOL.
Students: If you need to know your lunch balance, please go see Mrs. Jennifer
We have Gatorade, Water, Chips, Beef Jerky and Rice Krispy Treats that are available for purchase if you have money in your lunch account.
Students you must get a juice and/or fruit at breakfast.
FRESHMEN are not allowed to come to the library during Lunch for the remainder of the semester due to behavior.
Students are not to be in the hallways during Lunch A or Lunch B. The library, cafeteria, or patio are available areas during lunch.

The high school and middle school choirs will present their holiday concert Thursday, December 5, at 7:00 PM in the PAC.
FBLA members who plan to compete at the spring leadership conference need to see Mrs. Lindsey or Mrs. Torix for a permission slip.
Mena Baseball will hold tryouts next week at baseball field on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:45-5, if weather is bad we could reschedule one of the days.

All students will attend their regularly assigned enrichment class for the remainder of the semester!
Census is looking for temporary workers. If you are 18, come by the counseling center during enrichment today to find out more information.
There is a Sci-fi and Art Club Christmas party on December 13th! Don’t forget to pay dues before you come!
Next Thursday and Friday is a free clothing swap. Students please bring any gently used clothes or shoes that you no longer need.
Wednesday NEHS meets during Enrichment to write Letters from Santa for LD students
