
Mena High School students wrote cards and delivered them to the teachers and staff at LD today!


This morning Mrs. Breedloove and Mrs. Cash took a group of students to Louise Durham Elementary, the Mena Police Station, and the Mena Fire Department to deliver thank you cards.

A shadow box competition was held in Ms. Martin's 7th grade history classes recently. Students created a shadow box representing one of the Native American tribes they have researched and covered in class. One winner from each class was chosen by a panel of judges.

Hula Hooping started this week during PE at Holly Harshman Elementary.

Mena High School Pep Rally!

Representatives from the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain spoke to Louise Durham Elementary students about the eclipse and how to view it on Friday.
On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America.


Today was MHS Theatre's Word of the Month skit at Louise Durham! Our heroes taught the students how to protect themselves on the internet. The kids were so engaged! We loved it!


The Natural Resource Management class was at the lab Tuesday learning to manage the bee hives. Thanks to the Ouachita Beekeepers Association for helping mentor and educate our students on the complex biology of Apiary!


The Holly Harshman Elementary Great Teammate Award Winners
were team captains at the Sr. Ladycats volleyball game on Thursday.


The Sr. Ladycats played Magnolia on Thursday at the Union Bank Center. Mena won the match 28-26/25-16/25-12. The Ladycats are back in action on Saturday at the Paris Tournament.


🤝5th grade got some HANDS on learning about leadership today!
🤝It was so fun watching the leaders in the groups start to emerge as they tried to navigate their way through tangled ands and arms.
🤝We had lots of laughs and both teams were successful in untangle themes!
🤝After this, we had some time to reflect on what good leaders do and some of their qualities!


The Jr. Ladycats played Magnolia on Thursday at the Union Bank Center. Mena lost 25-6/24-26/7-15. The Ladycats return to action on Saturday at the Rover Valley Tournament.

The Holly Harshman Elementary Great Teammate Award winners for this week are Niko Oxborrow, Rylan Vekre, Blaze Quiroz, Dawn Kelms and Maddy Webb.
These students demonstrated a positive attitude, reliability, helpfulness, and willingness to learn.


The Mena Band would like to thank Hatfield Lumber and Dane Ward for their donation of lumber and Handy Hardware for their donation of hardware to build the new bearcat band marching tower. This will serve the school for many years to come.


Mena Middle School and Mena High School students attended the annual See You at the Pole event on Wednesday before school.
See You at the Pole is a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.
