Theatre Squared from Fayetteville performed "The Poe Show" for Mena Middle School students on Thursday afternoon in the Performing Arts Center. Another performance for MHS students is scheduled for Friday morning.

We Read Wednesday: Ms. Holland, our 7th grade literacy teacher, is an avid reader. She loves fantasy and her favorite author is Sarah J Mass. Although we do not have that author in our library at this time, Mrs. Holland can recommend quite a few other great fantasy books that are similar. Ask her about them next time you see her!


Mena Middle School Project Prevent Team held the October meeting on Wednesday. The team planned the Red Ribbon Week Activities. Mena Public Schools will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week October 21-25. The National Theme for the week is Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free. We invite the entire community to join us as we commit to living a Drug and Tobacco Free. We will have a daily dress up theme for the students and community to participate in as well as activities at school.The team wrapped up today's meeting by having a campus clean up competition!

A rendering of the expanded and renovated concession/restroom building at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium. Construction will begin at the conclusion of football season.


The Mena Little Cats Cheer Camp was hosted by Coach Dover and the Mena Cheer Team back in July. On Thursday the campers got to cheer at the Bearcat Scrimmage Game held at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium.

The Jr. Bearcat season began with a scrimmage against Mansfield on Thursday at Bob carver Bearcat Stadium.
The regular season begins on Thursday, August 29th when the Jr. Bearcats play DeQueen at BCBS.
