📚We Read Wednesday 📚
The Faculty and Staff at Louise Durham love books, reading and talking about all their favorite stories!
Meet Kindergarten Teacher Megan Tibbs
📚Books have always been a big part of Mrs. Tibbs life! Her mother and grandmother were both readers so she immediately grew to love stories and books. Mrs. Tibbs grew up loving the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books along with so many others.
Mrs. Tibbs favorite book is The Foot Book by Dr Seuss
📚”I loved reading The Foot Book to my son when he was a baby and one night after reading it , I started thinking about how true it is…. You meet a lot of feet in this world!”❤️
Mrs. Tibbs loves to share her love of reading with her Kindergarten students and help them fall in love with books just like she did!
Grab this favorite book in our school library!

Thank you, Mena Fire Department, for showing us fire safety in such a fun way!

We Read Wednesday: Ms. Holland, our 7th grade literacy teacher, is an avid reader. She loves fantasy and her favorite author is Sarah J Mass. Although we do not have that author in our library at this time, Mrs. Holland can recommend quite a few other great fantasy books that are similar. Ask her about them next time you see her!

📚We Read Wednesday📚
The Holly Harshman Elementary teachers and staff love reading, book talks, and sharing many of their favorite titles with you. Jill Newbolt, a HHE 5th grade Math teacher, would like to share one of her favorites with you-The Invention of Hugo Cabret - by Brian Selznick.
“Orphaned and alone except for an uncle, Hugo Cabret lives in the walls of a train station in 1930s Paris. Hugo's job is to oil and maintain the station's clocks, but to him, his more important task is to protect a broken automaton and notebook left to him by his late father. Accompanied by the goddaughter of an embittered toy merchant, Hugo embarks on a quest to solve the mystery of the automaton and find a place he can call home.”⚙️
Check out The Invention of Hugo Cabret written by Brain Selznick and other wonderful books at your school library!
