From Coach Bentley: Any 6th grader that plans to play 7th grade football next year, will meet with him in the gym right after these announcements.
From Mrs. Lunsford: EAST Conference Presentation Team will meet with her in the MMS EAST room tomorrow during ACHIEVE.
Students, several of you are bringing a Rubik’s Cube to school. Remember to keep it put away during class instruction time.

6th grade ETS students will be meeting on Friday during ACHIEVE.
There will be no 7th or 8th grade GT meetings this week.

UAMS, in conjunction with UA Rich Mountain and Healthy Connections is hosting a Hands-on Healthcare event on Monday, April 6th, at the Ouachita Center at UARM! We will have a variety of speakers from different fields and several fun and engaging hands-on activities. Applications are due Friday, March 20th . Students may apply online at the link below.

MASH Camp will be held June 15 through June 26 this year.
The deadline for applications will be by the end of the day on April 6, 2020. MASH (Medical Applications of Science for Health) it is a FREE two-week summer enrichment program for high school students interested in pursuing a medical career.
Mena Regional – June 15th – June 26th Current 10th and 11th graders may apply.
During the two weeks, students will take part in some of the following activities:
*Receive CPR training and certification
*Learn through hands on activities directed by physicians and medical staff
*Shadow seven departments in a local medical facilities including surgery and the ER
*Receive education about personal choices such as nutrition, alcohol and drug abuse, as well as other health topics and job choices from experts in a variety of healthcare fields
*Tour a medical school campus

This camp is provided FREE of charge to these students thanks to the generous support of Farm Bureau, Baptist Health, Mercy Hospital, Mena Regional Medical Center, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Conway Regional Health Systems, Johnson Regional Medical Center, UAMS West, HRSA, and partnerships with area healthcare organizations.

Mena softball will play their season opener on Friday, March 6th, in the Ashdown Invitational Tournament. The Ladycats will play Avery TX at 7pm... GO LADYCATS!
