
Mena Volleyball celebrated Sr. Night & hosted Malvern at the UBC Tuesday. The Jr. High JV won 2-1. Jr. High Varsity won 2-0 & the Mena Sr. Varsity won 3-0. The Ladycats will play at Camden Fairview Thursday & the State Tournament Begins on Tuesday in Morillton. GO LADYCATS!!

As Mena hosts Malvern this evening for volleyball action at the Union Bank Center, it will be the final home volleyball games of the 2019 season. Tonight's slate of games will feature the 7th grade, Junior High JV, Junior High Varsity, and Senior High Varsity teams. Prior to the start of the Senior High Varsity game, the Senior Night Ceremony will be held.

Students you must get a juice and/or fruit at breakfast.
Students, please remember, you have to have money in your account to buy extras. Do not get extras unless you pay for it first.
Students are not to be in the hallways during Lunch A or Lunch B. The library, cafeteria, or patio are available areas during lunch.
Ms. Kropps Enrichment class is in the lead for most cans/non perishable items donated so far. Don't forget to bring your cans or non perishable items to win a pizza party for your enrichment class!!
There will be an FFA Meeting during enrichment on Wednesday, October 30th. FFA Winter leadership ($20.00) money deadline is Tuesday, October 29 Pay Mr. Collins.

Seniors, there is a Senior Quotes Google Form available in the Class of 2020 Enrichment Site on Google Classroom for you to complete. The yearbook staff is gathering your senior quotes for the 2020 Yearbook, so please have your quotes submitted on this form by Friday, October 18.
The 2019 SAU Creative Writing Festival will be on Friday, November 8, and Mr. Philpot will be taking a group of students to this event this year. The deadline to submit an entry for the judged competition will be Wednesday, October 23. The trip is open Creative Writing and NEHS students. See Mr. Philpot for information and to express an interest in attending.
AE will be hosting a food drive for God’s Feeding Hands Ministry October 14-November 15. If your Enrichment class elects to participate, please bring a canned good to your Enrichment class. The class that donates the most, will receive a pizza party provided by AE.
Girls can sign up for a Powder Puff Football Tournament in Ms.Hobson’s room. Each class will have a team and compete against each other on November 4th. The cost is $3 to play and all proceeds go to Relay for Life!

I am so proud of the 24 seventh and eighth grade students who auditioned for all region honors choir!!! It takes a lot of courage to solo audition and although some students didn't earn positions in the choirs, be proud that you tried!! Keep working and singing and audition again next year!!
I also want to mention that our 7th and 8th graders are competing with 9th graders from schools that include 9th grade in junior high as well as other 7th and 8th graders.

The Mena 7th Grade Bearcats defeated Trinity Christian 26-6 Thursday night & the Jr. High Bearcats won their first game of the season 38-14. The teams will host Waldron on Thursday 10/24.. GO BEARCATS!

Mena Volleyball welcomed Magnolia to the Union Bank Center Thursday night. The 7th grade team played an intrasquad scrimmage, the Sr. High JV won 2-0 & the Sr. Varsity won 3-0. The Ladycats will host Malvern on Tuesday 10/22.
