The Mena golf team won at the Malvern Country Club today. Austin Johnston was the medalist with a 38.. Mena Golf will play next at the Nashville Country Club on Monday... GO BEARCATS!!!


The first cross country meet of the season happens on Tuesday, September 10th... Th Lions Club Invitational Cross Country Meet Hosted by the UA Rich Mountain Bucks!
The meet will take place on the Lions Club Golf Course located on Lions Club Road off of Hwy 71 S in Mena, AR.

Yearbook orders are underway for the 2020 MHS Yearbook. Be sure to order your yearbook at the lowest price of $48 before October 1. You can also get four free icons when you personalize your cover with your name ($6 for name personalization). See Mr. Philpot to order or for more information in room 205.
The senior bearcat football t-shirt order form is available in the office. Cost is $12 each for s-xl and $14 for 2x and 3x. Orders must be prepaid with exact change only. See Mrs. Wilson for details or go to the office to see a picture. The deadline to order is Friday, Sept 6.
There will be a pep rally during Enrichment on Friday. The theme for Friday is out of this world/alien! Wear your alien gear to school AND the game! REMEMBER! All Spirit-wear MUST be school appropriate.
Sept. 11 is Senior Day. Seniors will go to UARM from 9:30-1:00. Lunch will be provided. That evening at 5:00, MHS will hold a senior seminar that includes scholarship and financial aid information. You have to ride the bus to the college to participate, you CANNOT drive your own vehicle.
Anyone who would like to join FBLA needs to bring their dues of $15 to Mrs. Lindsey in room 202 or Mrs. Torix in room 401 anytime. FBLA is open to anyone in grades 9-12 and we welcome all students! You can also bring your fall conference registration form and money before Friday, September 6, to either Mrs. Lindsey or Mrs. Torix. If you need a form, see them.
FCCLA dues of $15 may be paid to Mrs. Hobson (room 200) or Mrs. Wilson (room 412) anytime. The first meeting will be on September 12.

Ninth grade GT students who would like to participate in Quiz Bowl this year will need to go to the middle school campus during TEAM today. (Thursday)
The Sr. High Quiz Bowl team will meet immediately after school today (Thursday) at Holly Harshman in Mrs. Moore’s room. Practice will last until 4:30. Students who participate in the Sr. High Quiz Bowl will need to make sure they have a ride home. Students who drive may need to park at the football field and walk to the office to enter the building.
