
The Jr. Bearcats hosted the Mena Team Camp on Tuesday at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium. Teams from Waldron, Cossatot, Mt. Ida, and Ft. Lake Participated.
The Jr. Bearcats will scrimmage Mansfield on August 22nd at BCBS and the season opener is on August 29th when they play DeQueen.

The Jr. Ladycats are competing at the Licking Volleyball Camp in Branson Missouri this week. The season begins August 26th when Mena plays Booneville at the Union Bank Center.


The Mena Fire Department will be doing their yearly inspection at all Mena campuses this week. Preparations continue for the 2024-2025 school year that begins August 14th!

Mena Middle School FCCLA attended and competed at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Seattle, WA. recently. Both MMS FCCLA teams made top 10 in the nation in their respective events! Zahra Sofi and Fran Vacca earned silver and 1st place in the nation for level 1, Hospitality, Tourism, & Recreation. Brynlee’s Bahr, Sophia Cummings, and Lily Kate Doughty earned gold in level 1, Sports Nutrition.

Mena School Staff just wrapped up three days of professional development at the Arkansas School Counseling Association Conference in Hot Springs.

The Jr Ladycats went 2-2 today at the Morrilton Team Camp with wins over Quitman and Mayflower. Losing two close ones to Beebe and Alma. The Jr Ladycats finished with a 12-4 record this summer. We are looking forward to the season. Now they get a much deserved break.


The Jr. Ladycats are participating in the Morrilton Team Camp. The team came away with wins against Lincoln, Rogers and Sheridan on Monday.
The girls are back at Morrilton Tuesday.


The Mena Jr. High Team Camp was held on Thursday at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium. Teams from DeQueen, Mansfield & Cossatot participated.


These JR Ladycats need to be bragged on. JR High Varsity went 7 and 2 at the Harding University Team Camp, and their 2 losses were to Lake Hamilton by 11 and a Senior High varsity team by 3. Our JR High JV was a totally different team from day 1 to day 3. There were tons of improvement, and ended with a win over Lakeside.


Mena leaders are attending training with the DeQueen Mena Education Service Cooperative at Degray State Park this week. Administrators from schools across the DMESC area are attending.
